Ope Balogun is a 54 years old pastor. Ope went to Grade B customary court in Orile Agege to divorce his wife. He has been married for about 3years now to his wife Taiwo who he said nags and is very troublesome. He said his wife has made all his members leave his church and ever since he got married to her she has never given him peace of mind,
He said his wife doesn’t let his children from his other marriage even visit him at home because they are all scared of her.
When the court sent for his wife to get her own side of the story, Mrs Taiwo said there was nothing of such going on between her and her husband and she is the 9th wife of Mr. Ope..
She said what started the fight between them was when she got pregnant for him and he told her he wasn’t ready for another baby and that she should get rid of the pregnancy but she didn’t.
Mrs Taiwo further said she loves her husband so much but the problem with him is money, she said her husband doesn’t give her money for food or anything. Not even when she was pregnant.
Mrs. Taiwo told the court that she can not leave Ope’s house even though he doesn’t want her anymore. She will still be his wife for the sake of their baby.
